"When adding a NEW loco purchase to the RailMaster locomotive roster, my loco has no control. It either goes from stationary to full speed or will only move at a crawl."

This seems to be a commonly reported issue since the release of version 1.7x RailMaster when adding new DCC locos to your RailMaster loco roster.

The only known solution found so far is to completely remove [delete] the loco from the RailMaster roster then add it again from scratch. This is something that you might have to do more than once till the loco is accepted correctly.

The issue seems to arise when adding a Hornby loco from the RailMaster Hornby database. That is to say, using the R number search feature in the 'Locomotive Settings' screen.

This issue trigger can be circumvented by adding the loco manually to the RailMaster locomotive roster and ignoring the inbuilt database function.

For those who need additional guidance. This FAQ linked below gives 'step by step' guidance on 'How To' add a locomotive manually to RailMaster.

FAQ - How do I manually add a loco to the RailMaster roster.

Note that when adding a loco manually to RailMaster, the throttle display will NOT display MPH [or KPH] on the throttle scale. It will default to showing 127 Speed Steps. This is normal, as showing MPH [or KPH] on the sliding throttle bar scale is a function of the 'database', where locomotives have been previously 'profiled' by HRMS [Hornby RailMaster Support]. When the scale is in speed steps the 127 shown at the top of the throttle will normally have a reddish pink background, but a green background when MPH (KPH) to denote and highlight the difference.

REQUEST.

If you are affected by this issue, please report it to HRMS using the 'inbuilt help function' within RailMaster or if this reporting function is not working, by direct mail to 'support@rail-master.com'. The more times that this issue is reported, the more chance of a permanent fix in a future maintenance release.
