Donald-362873
Has anyone else had problems with night hawk front bogies continually derailing Hornby claim to have repaired it with no luck.
Rallymatt
Best advice is to look at the many threads that have the things to look for.
Peachy
First thing to check on the A3's is the front steps.Viewing head on they should flare outwards so that the steps are horizontal. From the side they should be vertical or a tiny bit forward, definitly not swept back then check that the bogie clears them. Artyp
I sent mine back to Hornby. I'd tried bending the steps out as advised on an earlier post but it failed to work for me. I was worried about snapping them off. I got it back late today. Not tested yet. Will let you know result tomorrow if my Wi Fi works.

david_watts1
My new Night Hawk, which I only got yesterday had the bogie issue, but only on one side. Upon inspection after fitting driver & fireman and replacing the coupling with a magnetic one (oops), I noticed that the loco was missing the steps on one side, so I cut the one set of steps down and glued the cut off piece to the missing side. Now its OK since the bogie misses the cut down steps.
