Welcome back,

Time for More ‘TT’

Welcome to another edition of Train Terminal! It’s ‘TT’ goodness this month as we delve into the new additions to the ever-growing range.

J50 Class – A Versatile Tank Locomotive!

We know you needed a small tank engine for shunting, so we added three newly tooled J50 Class locomotives, all from different eras and liveries. There are two J50 locomotive models featuring BR black liveries with both early and late BR crests. The other model features a black livery in its LNER days of ownership. These models are DCC Ready with a 6-pin socket,  all wheel pickups and an optional front coupling.

We received the first shots from the mould tools of the J50, and we are expecting the engineering sample shortly.

Train Sets

The iconic Inter-City 125 can be brought to life on your layout with an analogue and TXS (Sound) set! Both sets feature a Class 43 HST power car numbered E43063, a Class 43 HST dummy car numbered E43062, and two Mk3 TS coaches numbered E42064 and E42065. The power and dummy car are liveried in a BR Blue and Grey.

The analogue set includes:

  • a transformer
  • a train controller
  • twelve pieces of Curve - 3rd Radius 30° 353mm track (TT8005)
  • six pieces of Straight Track 166mm (TT8002)
  • a piece of Power Connecting Track 166mm (TT8001)
  • a piece of Curve - 6th Radius 15° 640mm track (TT8007)
  • a left-hand point (TT8008)
  • a buffer stop (TT8010)
  • a re-railer (TT8026)

The DCC fitted set with sound includes:

  • a transformer
  • a HM7020: 15V Power Supply Adapter (R7324)
  • twelve pieces of Curve - 3rd Radius 30° 353mm track (TT8005)
  • six pieces of Straight Track 166mm (TT8002)
  • a Digital Power Connecting Track 166mm (TT8029)
  • a piece of Curve - 6th Radius 15° 640mm track (TT8007)
  • a buffer stop (TT8010)
  • a left-hand point (TT8008)
  • a re-railer (TT8026)
  • a HM7000 -N18TXS: Bluetooth® & DCC Sound Decoder (Next18-pin)
  • a sugar cube speaker

Coaches & Wagons

We added two new Pullman First Class Kitchen car coaches to the range: ‘Medusa’ and ‘Iolanthe’. These Pullman cars exuding elegance and class will feature lighting, allowing for more accuracy when running your rake around your layout.

There are two new 12T tank wagons which would have transported hazardous liquids and chemicals. Both wagons feature a BP/Shell and a Benzol & By-Products Limited livery.

Finally, three continental European Sffgmss IFA wagons have been added to the range. The models replicate TOUAX owned wagons in three different liveries and feature a representation of a 45ft shipping container as a load. Each shipping container features the following liveries: DFDS in black, Hapag-Lloyd in orange and HANJIN in blue. These wagons would be perfect as rolling stock for the upcoming Class 66 locomotives.

A single-track level crossing will be available. This level crossing is highly adaptable:

  • There is an option for alternative modern and steam-era gates.
  • Can clip onto different road sections.
  • There are additional level crossings to make a double, triple or even quadruple – whatever you like!
  • You can use any 166mm straight track (TT8002).
  • The signals can also be used with this crossing.

Isolating Fishplates

Plastic isolating fishplates can be used to stop the locomotive from passing points on a double loop of track. Twelve fishplates will be included in each pack.

Class 37 in the Works!

The ‘TT’ Class 37 is in development. We can share with you the 3D printed sample and the CAD which you can see below:

We plan for these models to incorporate illuminated headcodes, day and night lighting, cab lighting, directional lighting, all wheel pickups and for them to be DCC fitted with sound.

For more details on these future models, you can rewatch Louis, the Class 37 designer, talking about our progress in the April Announcement video here.
