What is era 9?

This era focuses on the privatisation of the railway between 1996 and 2008. The privatisation of the railway actually started in 1994, but it took three years to complete. This was an exciting period of change, with 25 companies taking charge of passenger services, including Eversholt Rail Group, Angel Trains and Porterbrook.

This fascinating era gives us plenty to model, making it a popular one amongst enthusiasts.
