Since 1954, Hornby has been a famous fixture in Margate. In celebration of our 70th anniversary in the local area we are excited to introduce a range of limited-edition models, a new miniature model of Margate located in Margate railway station, and an array of celebratory competitions and activities!

To celebrate our 70 years at Hornby HQ, we’re pleased to showcase our new layout, currently situated in Margate Station.
Designed to reflect the charm and character of Margate, from idyllic countryside views to popular attractions, enjoy a special railway journey and find out what this famous seaside destination has to offer!
Do you want to be on our new Margate layout?
Experience the innovative technology of Modelu’s instant 3D scanning service and get a personalised colour figure of yourself to be placed on our layout.
Whether you want to recline on the beach, dance in the crowd at Dreamland or jump on a train at Margate station, the choice is yours!
How?
Visit Modelu at an upcoming event or at their studio in Bristol to be scanned and add an additional 00 colour 3D figurine for just £4.95 extra. The extra model figure will be sent to Hornby for placement on the layout for all to see.
