What is Railway 200?
Railway 200 celebrates 200 years since the first passenger steam train departed from Darlington, carrying 450 people 26 miles to Stockton. The train travelled at 15mph and had an audience of 40,000 people along the line.
Since then, the engineering and technology that has arisen from the growth of the railway has been incredible.
