Collector Club Terms and Conditions

1. Membership Overview

The Hornby Collector Club (“Collector Club”) is operated by Hornby Hobbies Ltd. Membership provides access to exclusive products, competitions, and behind-the-scenes content related to the Hornby model railway range.

Membership is free to join. Hornby Hobbies Ltd reserves the right to change the club benefits or introduce a membership fee at any time.
By joining the Hornby Collector Club, you agree to the following terms and conditions, in addition to Hornby’s standard Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

 

2. Eligibility

  • Membership is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
  • Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of registration.
  • Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.

 

3. Membership Benefits

Active Collector Club members receive:

  • Club magazine (Digital): Four digital* issues per year of the Hornby Collector Club Magazine, featuring exclusive articles, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content. 
  • Exclusive products: Access to select Club-exclusive models and accessories
  • WonderWorks entry: Free access to The WonderWorks in Margate, Kent, plus 10% off purchases at the attraction
  • Competitions and giveaways: Access to member-only prize draws and competitions
  • Occasional member-only offers or promotions, such as discount events or product bundles (when available)

All benefits are subject to change, addition, or removal at Hornby’s discretion. Membership does not guarantee access to all exclusive offers or products, which may be time-limited or restricted by availability.

 

4. Print Magazine

Club magazine (*Print): Physical club magazine is available at additional cost with Publishing Works only. https://hornbyclubmag.imbmsubscriptions.com

Subscription copies are posted direct to your door at no extra cost, four times per year in January, April, July and October.

Hornby Hobbies have no involvement or responsibility for ‘Collector Club’ printed magazines. Any questions, issues or queries are run and dealt with solely by Publishing Works, including postage.

 

5. Competitions

Competitions affiliated with the Hornby Collector Club will be subject to all standard Terms and Conditions. Any regulations specific to the competition will be stipulated alongside the competition details.

 

6. Access and Use

  • Members must log in to their hornby.com account to access Collector Club content or participate in competitions.
  • Membership status may be checked during checkout or content access.
  • Content is for personal use only and may not be shared, redistributed, or republished in any form.

 

7. Product Availability

  • Collector Club exclusives are subject to availability and may be produced in limited quantities.
  • Hornby reserves the right to restrict quantities per member to ensure fair access.
  • Access is not guaranteed and may be limited by demand or stock levels.

 

8. Communication

  • Club updates and member communications will be sent via email and posted on the Hornby Club section of the website.
  • Members are responsible for ensuring their contact information is accurate and up to date.

 

9. Misuse and Membership Revocation

Hornby Hobbies Ltd reserves the right to revoke or suspend Collector Club memberships at its sole discretion if a member is found to:

  • Violate these Terms & Conditions
  • Misuse membership benefits
  • Share member-only discounts or exclusive content publicly or with non-members
  • Attempt to resell or distribute Club-exclusive items in a manner that breaches fair-use policies

Revoked memberships will not be reinstated or refunded.

 

10. Modifications and Termination

Hornby Hobbies Ltd may amend, suspend, or terminate the Collector Club or any associated benefits at any time without prior notice.
Changes to these Terms & Conditions will be posted on the website and may also be communicated via email.

12. Limited-Time Member Discount Offer (February 2026)

From Monday 23 February to Monday 9 March 2026, active Hornby Collector Club members are eligible for the following promotional discounts:

  • 15% off all in-stock Hornby products (excluding Hornby TT:120)
  • 10% off all Hornby pre-order products (excluding Hornby TT:120)

These discounts:

  • Are exclusive to Collector Club members and are automatically applied at checkout when logged in with an eligible account
  • Apply only to Hornby 00 gauge items (excludes TT:120 products, non-Hornby brands, or third-party items)
  • Are valid on hornby.com only and cannot be redeemed via third-party sellers or distributors
  • Cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, or promotional codes
  • Do not apply to shipping or taxes
  • Cannot be retrospectively applied to existing pre-orders or previous purchases.

This is a time-limited offer available only during the promotional window. Hornby Hobbies Ltd reserves the right to modify, extend, or withdraw this offer at any time.
