Product Info

Iron Oxide weathering powder (AV0016) in a 45ml plastic tub, a mid-tone rust colour for plastic and resin kits. The powder works dry or wet, and can be mixed with Acrylics and Washes for different effects. It sits alongside Light Rust (AV0018) and Dark Rust (AV0019) for a full rust tonal range. Humbrol has been the modeller's standard for decades.

Key Features

  • 45ml tub of Iron Oxide powder for realistic rust and corroded metal finishes
  • Apply dry and dusted, wet by capillary action, or mixed with Acrylics and Washes
  • Mix with other Humbrol weathering powders to create custom shades of rust and grime
  • Fix in place with Matt Cote, Acrylic Spray Matt Varnish No.49 or DecalFix
  • Non-hazardous formula, suitable for modellers aged 14 and over

Ideal For

  • Model railway locomotives and rolling stock needing rusty, dusty patches
  • Military vehicles, armour and figures with aged or corroded metal detail
  • Dioramas and scenic bases on plastic, resin, wood, glass, ceramics, metal, cardboard, sealed plaster and sealed hardboard

How to Use

Brush straight from the tub or a palette, or stipple the powder onto the model with a stipple brush. Clean brushes with water or Acrylic Thinners if mixed with Acrylics, or Enamel Thinners if mixed with Washes.
