Model Shot of the Year 2024
Terms and Conditions
Maximum entry of two authentic photos, entered between 16/08/24 and 29/09/2024.
Photos will be judged by professional YouTuber and model maker Jenny Kirk, photographer Jack Boskett, and members of the Hornby brand team on the quality and creativity of the images and subject matter. Mobile photography welcome. Please accompany uploads with as much information as possible, including the Hornby model.
Eligibility: This competition is open to all Hornby followers aged under or over 18 years old. Excluding Hornby employees and their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent and/or "step" family), and any associated agents or anyone professionally connected with the prize promotion.
Anyone under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardians’ permission to enter or share their details.
Latest entry is 11:59pm on 29/09/24. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected, or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed, wrongly delivered, or not received for whatsoever reason.
Shortlisted entries and social vote: A total of three U18 entries and three over 18 years old entries will be chosen by our judges and shortlisted. The judges chosen shortlisted six images are final. Shortlisted images will be put to a social vote from 21/10/24 to 11:59pm (GMT) on 13/11/24, we will share photographers full name in the social posts unless specifically requested otherwise. Winners will be chosen based on how many ‘likes’ received on their entry across Hornby’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts only.
Winner Notification: The winners (x1 over 18 years old and x1 under 18) will be contacted directly within 30 days of the social vote end date and will have 14 days from notification to claim their prize. If a winner does not claim their prize within this timeframe the promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and will award the prize to a reserve drawn at the same time as the original. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details on acceptance of the prize. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.
Entry is as stated in the promotion description. Where applicable, entries can be made in writing by letter and/or postcard to Hornby Hobbies Ltd, Westwood Industrial Estate, Margate, Kent, CT9 4JX. All entries must be received by the closing date stated.
Entries must be your own and can include either Hornby 00 gauge or Hornby TT:120 scale models. Please note you can only submit two photographs per person.
Age restrictions apply to product and merchandise giveaways and will be stated in the description of the promotion and/or product description.
Hobby Rewards points can only be added to accounts of people 18 years or older. Any winner under 18 years old will have their Hobby Rewards points placed in a parent or guardian’s account and must have their parent or guardian’s permission to do so.
Prizes are not transferable and there is no cash alternative.
Hornby Hobbies takes no responsibility for entries which are not received.
The prize promotion is not open to employees of Hornby Hobbies or of any subsidiary or associated company of Hornby Hobbies or to employees’ family members.
The annual membership to The WonderWorks is for use of the winner only. The WonderWorks reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value at any time, and to end the annual entry at any time if it is known to be misused.
Any entries submitted by agents, or third parties will be invalid and will not be accepted unless otherwise granted and/or pre-approved in writing.
Hornby Hobbies reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value at any time.
The name and town of residence of the winner(s) may be displayed on the Hornby Hobbies websites or social media channels.
Entrants’ images may be displayed on the Hornby Hobbies websites or social media channels.
The decision of Hornby Hobbies is final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the prize promotion.
Hornby Hobbies reserves the right to cancel or amend the terms of this prize promotion at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted within the rules on the site.
