The ‘William Whitelaw’ locomotive is featured in ‘The Easterner Digital Set, it contains a pre-fitted decoder which when used via the FREE to download HM|DCC app, enables access to a whole range of functions including sounds such as multiple whistles, a carriage break squeal, the guard’s whistle and even a slamming door.

While train travel may have become more standardised in the BR era, this did not dampen the majesty of a steam hauled service. This set includes the 4-6-2 LNER A4 locomotive, the fastest steam locomotive in the world as it could be seen in BR days, without perhaps its most iconic colour scheme but with some very complimentary BR Maroon Mark 1 coaches.
This set contains a starter oval of track and a siding providing a good size layout for you to get started. This included circuit can be expanded with our easy to add track extension packs.

HM7000 Products
The following points must be considered below when purchasing. HM | DCC and the HM7000 decoders have been extensively tested up to a range of 45 metres in plastic bodied locomotives and up to 12 metres in die-cast bodied locomotives. HM | DCC and the HM7000 decoders have been extensively tested up to a max of 14 non-stationary, running locomotives. HM | DCC and the HM7000 decoders have been extensively tested on iOS devices dating as far back as 5 years from today's date. Any devices older than this cannot be commented on for proper function by Hornby Hobbies. Please ensure that the incompatibility list is considered prior to any purchase.
