R1289M Hornby Railways B.R. High Speed Retro Train Set
Product Info
Embark on a nostalgic journey back to the 1970s and 1980s era of Hornby train sets with this British Rail High-Speed train set. Replicating the retro look of the famous Hornby R.685 train set, but with today’s quality and detail, this train set is the perfect toy to rekindle amazing childhood memories that can be shared with future generations.
The InterCity 125 High-Speed Trains were introduced by British Rail in 1976, operating 125mph services on the Great Western Main Line and the East Coast Main Line before being introduced to other lines as their use spread. Built at Crewe by BREL, the Class 43 are officially the fastest diesel trains in the world.
This train set comes complete with a pair of Class 43 diesel driving cars; one powered and the other a non-powered driving car. The power car has head lights that illuminate.
This set comes with one Mk3 passenger coach, an oval of track with a siding, a buffer stop and a controller with a mains power supply.
