October has been an incredible month for model railway enthusiasts, no matter which gauge you prefer! We’ve had range launches and secret releases all over the place, giving you all something to look forward to.
But that’s not all. This is the start of our busiest period of the year, so we’ve been to events, we’ve enjoyed some Halloween fun, and we’ve even commissioned some hobby research in the middle of it all. Settle down for a jam-packed update this month and let us know what you think in the comments below!
This has been a bumper month for announcements, so let’s look at them all in order.

We started the month by teasing a Hornby TT:120 announcement to celebrate three years of the tabletop scale, and on the 10th October, we delivered a full range launch!
This range launch answered the demand for more TT:120-sized model buildings, with sheds, huts, station buildings and a water tower to populate your railway scenes. We also threw in a new Class 37 locomotive and some Mk2F coaches, much to the delight of our TT audience.
Finally, the latest club exclusive wagon and next year’s Father’s Day wagon were revealed. Have you got your pre-orders in?

The very next day, we announced two glamorous new models to celebrate 50 years of Drax Biomass. The OO gauge RailRoad: GB Railfreight - Class 66 - 66301 ‘Drax Power Station 50’ and Drax - Biomass - Wagon both sport a fetching gold livery that will make quite an impact on your model railway layout.

And we finished the month with a bang, with our final range launch of the year. This announcement was all about the locomotives, with a total of 18 models for you to choose from. The selection covered steam, diesel, and RailRoad models, with plenty for DCC and non-DCC users alike.
The BR Class 37 with its police livery is by far one of the most popular designs in the range, so we recommend pre-ordering while you still can. Other stand-out models include those in the Saint Class, Patriot Class and our DB Schenker Class 67.

In between announcing new products, we’ve been welcoming new arrivals into stock. Most recently, we’ve had the Collett Coaches and the LNER - Streamlined B17 - 2870 'City of London'.
Mid-month, we had a blast from the past when the Hornby Railways B.R. High Speed Retro Train Set arrived in our warehouse. The RailRoad: LMS - 5540 'Patriot Sir Robert Turnbull' and some TT:120 TTA Tank Wagons turned up around the same time.
So, there are plenty of new Hornby model railway releases to enjoy right now if you’re quick!

We uploaded a brand-new magazine for TT:120 Club members this month. This issue explores the latest range announcements, showcases exciting layouts and discusses weathering techniques. Have you read it yet?

We’ve attended two events this month and had a fantastic time talking to you all. If you visited our stands at The Great Electric Train Show in Milton Keynes or The Great British Model Railway Show at Gaydon, then we hope you enjoyed everything that we had to show you.
Coming up in the next month, we’ll be at The National Festival of Railway Modelling in Birmingham. There are still tickets available if you’d like to come and chat with us again.

We had a little fun in the lead up to Halloween with our online Trick or Treat Trail. We hid six sweets on the website and gave you clues so you could find them all. Successful participants received a 15% discount on their next order.
Did you find all six sweets? Or were you bamboozled by the spiders? Either way, we hope you had a fang-tastic time!
