We know how much you love a mighty locomotive, and we have three to show off this month, including the world’s most famous Class A1 (you know the one!) We also have British Railways’ most reliable shunter to boast about.

Find out more about our latest releases and where to pre-order them below.

TT3001M BR Class 08 0-6-0 08489 - Era 7

British Railways built a total of these 996 Class 08 diesel shunters. Many of these reliable workhorses are preserved, and many are still in service.

This model, however, is no longer with us. BR Class 08 0-6-0 08489 started life in 1957 as D3604. When BR adopted the TOPS classification system in 1974, it earned the serial number we know now. BR withdrew 08489 from service in 2004 and cut it up in June 2009.

Give this utilitarian shunter a new lease of life by adding it to your model railway.

If there is a more famous locomotive, we're not sure what it is! The 'Flying Scotsman' is a true icon, now over 100 years old. Nigel Gresley's A1 Class loco was the first to run on the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) in 1923 and hit speeds of 100mph (a record-breaking attempt at the time).

Our 'Flying Scotsman' comes in two forms: pre-fitted with an HM7000 decoder or a Next 18 socket. You can now enjoy this model with or without sound! Finished with a stunning LNER Apple Green livery, it even includes the all-important 4472 on the side of its carriage.

A stylish addition to any model railway, the 'Night Hawk' is a truly elegant locomotive. Like other Class A3 locos, it began life as an A1. When it came time to update the A1s, the changes were so extensive that the locomotives needed a whole new classification. And so, the A3s were born. The 'Night Hawk' spent 38 years on the railway before being scrapped in 1963.

This striking shade of BR Green will stand out on your model layout, while the HM7000 functions add an extra layer of enjoyment to your locomotive. Enjoy sounds such as carriage brake squeals, whistles, and slamming doors. Alternatively, choose the Next 18 socket version, which comes without sound.

Another success story from Sir Nigel Gresley, 'Trigo' was one of the few Class A3 locomotives that didn't start life as an A1. It spent 34 years on the railway before being scrapped, taking its name from an Epsom Derby racehorse winner.

Our 'Trigo' model boasts a gorgeous shade of BR Green and is pre-fitted with an HM7000 decoder that allows you to control the locomotive without removing it from the rails. Add a range of sound effects, or enjoy your model without sound with our Next 18 Socket version

That's just a few of the new models we have for you this month. From a modern utilitarian shunter to three locomotives that made their mark on history, there's something for everyone here!
