Hornby launches London 2012 Hamleys window display
On Thursday 14th June, Hornby launched our first London 2012 window display at one of the world’s most famous toy stores, Hamleys in London’s Regent Street. The window design focuses on our superb London 2012 Pictogram Figurine range, with a life size athletics pictogram figurine model and brilliant Union Flag montage featuring imagery of the figurines and other Hornby London 2012 products. This window will be seen by thousands of people visiting the Hamleys store as well as passing through Regent street, as we lead up to the Games.
On 25th July the London 2012 window display will be updated and will remain until the end of the Paralympic Games.
To celebrate the launch of our new window display we invited a range of national, sporting and parent media, and their children, to an Olympic party at Hamleys, on Saturday 16th June. Hornby showcased our latest Official London 2012 range and allowed both small kids and big kids to let loose in the toy store. In order to get into the spirit of the Games, the party room was decked out in red, white and blue colours, with traditional British tea and cupcakes and the Wenlock Queen’s Guard mascot also made a special guest appearance!
