Discover the latest developments at the One:One Collection and much more at the action-packed Open Weekend on the 9^th-10^th August 2025.

Held in collaboration with The WonderWorks, this exciting event offers an exclusive preview of the One:One Collection’s selection of full-sized locomotives, large-scale engineered locomotives and the amazing 0 gauge working layout.This is a wonderful chance for families, collectors and railway enthusiasts to experience the facilities and learn about our heritage.

The One:One Collection will display some of the most iconic UK railway locomotives, engines and coaches in the Margate storage area. Relish the thrilling opportunity to get up close to a 50-tonne breakdown crane and the full-size steam locomotive ‘Black 5’.

Explore detailed model railway layouts and immerse yourself in all things Hornby with some of the latest releases, product developments and special Railway 200 celebratory products. 

Your ticket includes entry to The WonderWorks experience, where fans of Hornby Hobbies brands can enjoy interactive displays, model layouts and more.

Refreshments will be available to purchase on site, with plenty to enjoy as you take in the sights and sounds of this unique celebration of railway past and present.
